Jyoti Natural Foods supplies meals plated for airlines, and nearly all these items can be supplied as bulk trays for catering use. Most items are frozen and some are shelf stable. All items can be certified Halal at an additional cost.
Michael Lewis Co. is our distributor for the Airlines, but we also ship directly to caterers nationwide for airline and non-airline use. Caterers like Gate Gourmet, LSG Skychefs, Flying Foods and Chelsea use our foods for many airlines flying from US Airports. Air France, American, British, Caribbean, Continental, Delta, Qatar, Singapore, United and others have specified Jyoti foods to be used by their caterers.
The following are some of the meal plates we use for airlines, as well as pictures of available bulk trays. All airline plate components can be supplied as 5lb foil pans for catering.

JAIN MEALS (JNML):
There is a growing demand for “JAIN” meals on international flights. Jain meals are Vegetarian (not Vegan) but exclude tubers and bulbs and all other foods that grow below the ground surface.
Our breads have been specially developed to go through Freeze-thaw cycles without becoming leathery!
Most of our breads are shaped to fit on a YC meal plate, between two layers of foils, and are heated along with the casserole dish in the galley.

Appetizers, Snacks, Mid-Meal Service:
We make a variety of snack items for before dinner and mid-meal service. We coined the name “Appeteasers” for our spicy Indian snack mix when we started serving that on British Airways around 1997. Today, Appeteasers are offered in two versions: 1. Classic Indian style with fried components and, 2. similar composition and taste but with 40% dry roasted (instead of fried) components. Our snacks are peanut-free.

We make two, milk based “All Natural” desserts, which are both kept frozen. More desserts are in the planning. As frozen foods, these items are not shipped to consumers directly, and are sold only in stores serviced by our distributors. These desserts are also available for food service, as for the Airlines.

Literally translates as Rose (Gulab) Plum (Jamun) because of the rose flavor and plum like looks.Among the most popular sweets of India, Gulab Jamuns are milk products based, cake like balls that are soaked in rosewater flavored syrup. Unique to JYOTI Gulab Jamuns is the small core of nuts and cardamom core filling that puts those beautiful dessert balls in an elegant class well above all the others.
Gulab Jamuns are packed in trays, heat sealed and frozen. A one year “Best BY” date is given for frozen Gulab Jamuns, which can be defrosted, and refrozen if needed.
