We supply meals plated out for airlines, as well as bulk trays for catering use. Most items are frozen and some are shelf stable. All items can be certified Halal at an additional cost.

Michael Lewis Company of McCook, IL distributes our foods to the Airline caterers nationwide. We also ship directly to many caterers nation wide.

Caterers like Gate Gourmet, LSG Skychefs, Flying Foods and Chelsea use our foods for special meals requests on many airlines flying from US Airports. Air France, American, British, Caribbean, Continental, Delta, Qatar, Singapore, United and others have specified Jyoti foods to be used by their caterers.

Jyoti Gupta has served as a guest on Continental “Chef-on-Board” program.

Listed below are many of the meal components that we make and can supply in plated form in any combination or in bulk pans. Many of these items qualify as vegan and can be assembled for vegan meals. Some Airlines are getting only Vegan meals from us to serve to SPML, AVML, VGML, HNML and MOML.

JAIN MEALS (JNML):

There is a growing demand for “JAIN” meals on international flights. Jain meals are Vegetarian (not Vegan) but exclude tubers and bulbs and all other foods that grow below the ground surface.

Breads:

Our breads have been specially developed to go through Freeze-thaw cycles without becoming leathery!

Most of our breads are shaped to fit on a YC meal plate, between two layers of foils, and are heated along with the casserole dish in the galley.

We make many different kinds of breads to compliment the main meal components, listed here are a few:

We also make vegetarian meals in styles other than Indian Cuisine. What ever is needed!

Appetizers, Snacks, Mid-Meal Service:

We make a variety of snack items for before dinner and mid-meal service. We coined the name “Appeteasers” for our spicy Indian snack mix when we started serving that on British Airways around 1997. Today, Appeteasers are offered in two versions: 1. Classic Indian style with fried components and, 2. similar composition and taste but with 40% dry roasted (instead of fried) components. Our snacks are peanut-free.

Dough crisps with onion seeds and oregano seeds. This is a very common cold snack in India, normally served with lemon relish.

Flour Tortilla Wraps with various Indian stuffing are served mid-meal on long flights. Wraps are packed in oven safe foil bags.
